Born in Chapel Hill, NC and attended the University of North Carolina. In 1985 he left
UNC and went to New York to pursue his acting career. He landed a job at New York's America
Festival Cafe Restaurant at Rockefeller Center. John was a pastry chef, making desserts. Andy
Warhol and a few of his photographers came in one day. The took some photographs of John for
Mr. Warhol's INTERVIEW magazine. John was also a bodyguard and has worked for a few actors such as; Melanie Griffith, Woody Allen, and Debra Winger. John has also worked with The Equalizer's Edward Woodward in a not so great New York neighborhood. He has also modeled and has done several Levi's 501 Jeans commercials. John has also gotten a few appearances off "off-Broadway". After an impressive sate debut as the male lead in the Robert Allan Ackernam directed "Our Town" for which he received rave reviews, John moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. John soon gained the starring role of "Tony Pagano" on "The Untouchables". His other television credits include recurring roles on "Walker, Texas Ranger" opposite Chuck Norris and FOX's "Model's Inc". John's film credits include a featured role opposite of Ethan Hawke in "Alive" directed by Frank Marshall and lead roles in "Cool as Ice" and "Desert Kickboxer". He also had starring roles in "Goodbye America" co-starring James Brolin and "Dark Tides". John currently resides in Los Angeles and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where he finds the time to pursue his interests in the martial arts, Yoga, motorcycling and supporting his personal causes of protecting the environment, supporting nature, and sharing his knowledge of the healing sciences. |
